This EP is a great introduction of Evan Krestov to a new listener as well as a new step up in the band’s game after their album, Structures Of Existence. The upbeat Our Home sets the melancholic mood of the release with its growing musical intensity and lyrical development. If it’s not on repeat after the first listening, you’re doing it wrong. The killer interpretations of DI6 and DM surprise with such respectful yet unconventional approach to the original songs. They might be a hit or miss to die hard fans, but I personally continue with listening DM’s Music For The Masses every damn time. Another thing to praise is the vocals — their passion and tenderness intertwined create a dark and seductive undertone to the canvas of the songs. Possessing a dreamy and slightly neurotic vibe, overall this release is very cohesive and beautiful. EK definitely have more tricks up in their sleeve!
